MONTVILLE DEMS |
CANDIDATES
Shari Seffer and John Harmon Platform
Overdevelopment
The current projects being built in town (in order to comply with Affordable Housing state requirements) were not strategically planned. Residents are now facing exponential growth all over Montville Township with major challenges including traffic congestion and infrastructure issues. As township leaders, Shari and John will be laser focused on combating overdevelopment.
A fresh set of eyes and boots on the ground are needed to ensure that we have change for the better. Montville Township is now at a tipping point. Shari and John will work to preserve Open Space and to ensure that any new construction is thoughtful and deliberate with specific attention to traffic concerns and other potential strains on infrastructure. The current township committee refers to the multitude of complexes being constructed as "development." Montville residents know better we are experiencing OVERDEVELOPMENT.
Government Services
Population growth demands that the governing body plan ahead to insure appropriate levels of township services. Even now, residents of Montville regularly complain about the length of time it takes to receive various permits. Shari and John plan to address these concerns through strategic planning.
It is time for the old guard to be replaced with new leadership.
